There are many benefits to meditating. There's an abundant amount of resources online and I don't want to regurgitate all the benefits here, but I do want to share why I find meditation to be one of the very best healing tools; it's the easiest, most effective way to connect to your higher self. All of our answers are inside of us. Everything starts / heals at the heart center. Our personality / ego (head space) tends to analyze everything, but our heart knows the way ~ and meditation is most effective.

Early in the morning, after a night of sleep, I often get spiritual insights first thing upon awakening (I call them downloads). Our minds aren't fully awake right after we get up, we're often in a dreamy, slightly drowsy or restful space yet. The mind is too tired to analyze things. This is often when our higher self's wisdom enters into our consciousness most noticeably.

Early one morning, upon awakening, I received a 'download' explaining how all souls carry wounds, and everything starts / heals at the heart center. There was great detail explaining the many layers of the soul; and to really understand one's soul, one must look past the ego (head space) and go deeper into the layers ~ heart is the center.

Our head space tends to analyze everything, trying to find fault with things, it puts things in categories and tends to label and judge everything (right, wrong, good, bad, etc.). It's often programming we learn along our journey in life. Our head space often takes us on many wrong turns and dead ends on our life journey.

Since everything starts / heals at the heart center, it's no surprise that the heart leads us. Our inner light, our connection to Source, is at our heart center. Our heart knows the way. We want to bring the all loving, all knowing energy in our heart to align with our head space. In other words, getting our heart and our head space to work together in harmony. (Merging soul and spirit).

Meditation can help us listen to our heart and quiet our analytical mind. Meditation can bring more inner awareness and inner peace. Are you interested in exploring meditation? I offer a free meditation to harmonize the soul and spirit:
